I'm a food writer and cooking teacher. In January 2017, I started KitchenFly, a personalized coaching service for beginner and aspiring home cooks. Before that I launched and oversaw the editorial lifestyle team at BuzzFeed, first as food editor then as creative director from 2012 to 2016. I also launched and edited Bon Appétit magazine’s website in 2008; I worked as an editor there for six years. I'm a graduate of the professional culinary arts program at the French Culinary Institute and of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. If you'd like to see an extended description of all that, visit my LinkedIn profile.
I live in Brooklyn with with my husband John, our dog Artie, and a lot of plants that I only recently learned how to keep alive.
